Deep ecological systems where water seeps in subterranean flow from precipitation on leaves that filter through porous surface geologies, tiny droplets count out time. Rivers cut a gravity curve through the topography to seek the passage between pools and lake systems. These highlight the significance of co-existence with natures elemental forces. Culturally, people gather for exchange and learning developing communities of knowledge building. Cultivating learning is like the Earths ‘climate’, it may be described mapping colours, textures as a type of synoptic (describing) making of knowledge through questions, here values are nurtured within a condition of learning. Culture is nature and nature are culture, yet the ‘nature of culture’ differentiates from the ‘culture of nature’ in distinct ways.
All works explore the notion of flow and interconnection. The site is over deep rivers of the Yarragadee Aquifer. This is expressed on the surface in nearby lakes and localised water pooling. For the indigenous this water system is a vital link in sustaining life and culture in the region.
